Thailand Privilege (formerly Elite)
People who want a long visa with no income or savings test, and are happy to pay for it up front.
Is it for you?
- You don't want to prove income or keep money parked in a Thai bank
- You don't fit the age or income rules of the other long-stay visas
- You value VIP airport service and less paperwork
What you need to know
- What it is
- A paid membership run by a state-owned company that comes with a long-stay visa and concierge perks.
- Tiers
- Bronze ฿650,000 (5 years), Gold ฿900,000 (5 years), Platinum ฿1,500,000 (10 years), Diamond ฿2,500,000 (15 years), Reserve ฿5,000,000 (20 years).
- Application fee
- ฿50,000, paid up front. It is refunded if you're rejected and deducted from the membership if you're approved.
- Perks
- Fast-track at the airport, help with immigration paperwork and, on higher tiers, family members included.
- Watch out
- The fee is not refundable once approved, and you still can't work on this visa. Compare it with the retirement visa or the DTV first: for many people they cost far less.
How we handle it
- We compare the cost over 5 to 10 years against the visas you'd qualify for anyway
- Application and background check through the official operator
- Payment after approval, then the visa is issued
Other options
Compare with the other visas.
- DTVDestination Thailand VisaRemote workers, freelancers and people coming for Muay Thai, cooking school or medical treatment.
- O / O-ARetirement visaAmericans aged 50 or older who want to live in Thailand year-round on savings or a pension.
- LTRLong-Term Resident visaHigh earners, wealthy retirees and remote professionals who want 10 years and the lightest paperwork.
